1. Trial period 3 to 6 months: During this period, the contractual relationship can be terminated with any time. We recommend to give a minimum of 1 week notice nevertheless.
2. After the trial period: The notice period in Georgia is 1 month. If the employer terminates the employment contract after the probationary period, a severance payment of a month's salary is due.
3. 24 days of vacation are granted to the employee by law in Georgia. Furthermore, the employee does not have to work on Georgian holidays.
4. Health insurance is provided for the employee.
5. The employer is obliged to pay the full salary during the first 40 consecutive days of sick leave or a total of 60 days within a six-month period, after which the employer may terminate the employment contract.

Income Tax: In Georgia, income tax is due for each employee. The rate is 20% of the net salary.
Pension Tax: Since 2019, there is a cumulative pension system. Pension insurance is mandatory for employed Georgian citizens under 40 years of age and foreigners with a permanent residence permit for Georgia.

a) during the payment of salaries, an employer shall make a pension contribution, through the electronic system, to an individual retirement account of the employed participant, in the amount of 2 % of the taxable salary to be paid to the employee;
b) on behalf of an employed person, an employer shall make a pension contribution, through an electronic system, to an individual retirement account of the employee, in the amount of 2 % of the taxable salary to be paid to the employee.
